Saturday was my birthday, and this was my birthday mani. I started with Essie Splash of Grenadine. It's from last year's Resort collection and pretty easy to find. I used three coats, as I found it to be a little streaky. Or maybe I needed three coats because it was one in the morning and I was being sloppy. Oh well. I took a couple phone pictures when I was done. They're not very accurate.

I added two coats of Deborah Lippmann Happy Birthday. HB is multicolored hex and square glitter. There are quite a few similar polishes now (Milani Gems, Ulta Pinata Yadda, NYX Girls Carnival, Wet N Wild Party of Five Glitters), but I don't regret splurging on the DL. She has some fabulous glitters. I had a hard time photographing this accurately.
It looks like a cake or cupcake to me.

ReplyDeleteDo you like Essie? I keep passing on buying the bottles, something about the design of the bottles themselves turns me off, I"m kind of a die-hard Zoya addict. The color is lovely though...just wish they'd do a promo :)

ReplyDelete@Constantly Undone: Thank you! I love Essie! Their bottles are so adorable and they have a great formula. I know that Essie is pretty strict with their pricing, but they're sold at drugstores now, so you can get them for a bit cheaper with store coupons. I love Zoya too!
